The Jean Lumb Foundation is a Canadian charitable organization that fosters excellence in young people of Chinese heritage. Every year, outstanding high school students from the Greater Toronto Area are recognized for their excellence in the four areas of Academics, Athletics, Community Service and the Arts.

As a not-for-profit charity, the Jean Lumb Foundation relies on the generous and ongoing support of individuals and corporations to continue the recognitionof outstanding achievements among youth and to honour the memory of the late Jean Lumb, a community activist, businesswoman and pioneer.

Annual Jean Lumb Awards Dinner ...

Every year, an awards dinner is held to present the Jean Lumb Awards to the talented and accomplished student winners. The dinner is the primary fundraising event of the Jean Lumb Foundation. A portion of the dinner ticket price is earmarked as a donation and a tax receipt for this portion is issued.

In Honour of ...

A wonderful way to honour loved ones is a tribute gift and the knowledge that the Jean Lumb Foundation has benefited by a donation made in their honour. This type of donation offers a meaningful way to remember a special person or celebrate an important event, like a birthday, anniversary or other unique occasion.

A personalized letter will be sent informing your honouree of your gift, and a tax receipt will be issued for your donation.

In Memory of ...

Families are comforted in their sorrow by gifts made in memory of their loved one. Acknowledgment letters are sent to inform the families of your thoughtfulness and gift to the Jean Lumb Foundation, and a tax receipt will be issued for your donation.

Tax Benefits of Giving

Giving to the Jean Lumb Foundation offers a tax benefit to you. Full tax receipts are issued for all donations. The tax receipt can be used to receive a federal and provincial tax credit on your annual income tax return.

• 16% on amount up to $200 the 29% on the remainder amount (over $200)

• 6.05% on amount up to $200 then, 11.16% on the remainder amount (over $200)
